UNK Employee of the Month
Linda Lunden
Custodian, Memorial Student Affairs Building
The UNK Staff Senate is privileged to honor Linda Lunden as the March 2008 UNK Employee of the Month. To best realize Linda’s work presence within the Memorial Student Affairs Building, it is best for the staff of the MSAB to share their own thoughts about Linda:
“She is friendly, always willing to help, takes pride in her work, and asks if there is anything else she can be doing.”
“Linda always has a smile on her face with a positive attitude! She is always willing to help out with anything that anybody needs. She does an outstanding job here in the Student Affairs Building.”
"The thing I really enjoy about Linda is that smile on her face and she always offers a greeting . . . I'm sure just like the rest of us, she has her bad days, but you'd never know it because she is always so quick to say "Hello", "Good Morning" or "How ya doing?" And she's up and down the hallways constantly cleaning something and if you have a special request for something, she's right on it."
“Linda has strong interpersonal skills including smiling, being appreciative, and having a positive attitude. She communicates respect for other people within the work place.”
“Linda is always so cheerful and happy to help you out with whatever it is you need. Seeing her early in the morning, she always has a smile on her face and ready to take on whatever comes her way.”
“Linda is conscientious, dependable, accommodating, and pleasant as she goes about her business of maintaining the cleanliness of MSAB. She asks rather than assumes, which is a large, important aspect of cleaning offices and public spaces.”
“Linda makes complimentary remarks to staff. She knows everyone on a first name basis and always offers a greeting every morning.”
“Linda is always cheerful and smiling. She keeps our building sparkling and goes out of her way to accommodate any requests we may have.”
Linda has obviously made a tremendous impact on her colleagues within the Memorial Student Affairs Building and the UNK Staff Senate is proud to echo their comments and recognize Linda Lunden as the March 2008 UNK Employee of the Month.
