UNK Department of the Month
August 2007
The UNK Staff Senate is pleased to recognize the Business Services Office as the August 2007 UNK Department of the Month. On a daily basis, everyone on campus is touched by this department. It is through the efforts of this group of employees that the campus has access to a constantly improving/changing telecommunications network (LAN lines, voice mail, cell phones, Blackberries, VoIP); the Cost Per Copy Program (reducing the cost of copies to departments); the Stockless Office Supply Program (reducing the amount of space necessary for office supplies); Procurement and Travel Cards to streamline purchases; vendors to assist with procuring furniture to meet the University’s needs; highly qualified assistance for projects that requiring a bidding process; and a mailroom that ensures incoming and outgoing mail is distributed in a timely manner. They even help those who are using the Business and Finance Conference room to hook-up video conferencing.
As a result of their hard work, as well as the vital services they provide, we are delighted to recognize Business Services as the August 2007 UNK Department of the Month!
