The UNK Staff Senate is honored to recognized Patricia Rivera as the April 2007 UNK Employee of the Month. Patty is one of those people who does her work in a quiet, efficient manner. You don’t realize how much she does until she is gone for few days. She always seems to go above and beyond what is expected of her and is very concerned about the cleanliness of the areas she is responsible for in Cushing Facility and Health and Sports Center. These two buildings see a lot of traffic from both the UNK community and off-campus users. These buildings also provide a venue for a large number of athletic events, musical events, and guest speakers, as well as events sponsored by off-campus organizations.
Patty is aware of how important it is to make a good impression and she works to this high level of standards at all times. She is always willing to help in any way to get these events set up and the areas ready for use. The faculty and staff in Cushing Facilities and Health and Sports Center know they can ask assistance from Patty and it will get done and done right. We are very lucky to have Patty as a custodian on campus – particularly in such a public building as Cushing/HSC.
As a result, the UNK Staff Senate is pleased to recognize Patty Rivera as the March 2007 UNK Employee of the Month.
