The UNK Staff Senate is privileged to honor Lisa Neal as the March 2007 UNK Employee of the Month.  Over the past year, UNK has been intensely involved with a University-wide project to develop a database of student information.  Although several members of the UNK staff have been involved, Lisa Neal has provided much of the support to provide the information to Central Administration.  She has dealt with modifications as necessary whenever new information needs have been identified.  She has met timeliness as required and her assistance in clarifying data has been essential to UNK’s successful compliance with the project needs.  Lisa has worked well with other University employees to get the project through Phase II.  In addition, she was able to provide much of the comparable information for historical purposes.

Lisa works well with colleagues from other offices across campus and is an extremely helpful resource to people who need to convert their information requests into “technical jargon.”  She is able to help interpret and define the difference between the information people ask for and what they actually need.  It takes a special talent to do that with tack and diplomacy, resulting in more useful information and Lisa’s professional, yet friendly, manner makes it easy for others to work with her.

Lisa is willing to investigate innovative suggestions to improve both data integrity and data analysis.  Currently another project is being considered to set up an “information datamart” on campus.  Even though it may mean more work for her, Lisa is open to exploration of new processes that may help others across campus do their job better.

It is always a pleasure to work with Lisa, she is a dedicated UNK employee that deserves recognition for her commitment.  As a result, the UNK Staff Senate is pleased to acknowledge Lisa Neal as the March 2007 UNK Employee of the Month.

The Employee of the Month is sponsored by: UNK Athletics, UNK Theater, Campus Cuts, Chartwells and the Antelope Bookstore.
