February 2007 Employee of the Month - Art Hasbrouck, Custodian-Bruner Hall of Science, Facilities Management and Planning
Art Hasbrouck has been a custodian in the Bruner Hall of Science for over 4 years. He displays his dedication to the faculty, staff, and students every day through his high quality of service. Art works very hard to have the classrooms and laboratories ready for each day’s classes. He preps these rooms before 8:00 AM and periodically checks them throughout the day.
Art is always friendly and helpful to the many questions and requests he receives. He knows all the faculty and staff in BHS and can direct students to any office they may be looking for. He accepts "special requests" for his services without hesitation and is always a willing and helpful employee.
Art carries teamwork to the highest level. He is not afraid to carry the extra weight when one of his co-workers is gone for the day. Art willingly shifts into high gear to cover the additional workload left behind on those days and he attacks the additional work with the same fervor as his own duties. He is truly a "team player."
He also works extra hours at many of the sporting events on campus. Art enjoys the students and the many different events they are involved in. He is more than just a casual employee of UNK – he is dedicated and devoted to the faculty, staff, and students on campus.
In admiration of his friendly and helpful nature, as well as his "team player" spirit, the UNK Staff Senate is honored to recognize Art Hasbrouck as the February 2007 UNK Employee of the Month.
The Employee of the Month is sponsored by: UNK Athletics, UNK Theater, Campus Cuts, Chartwells and the Antelope Bookstore.
