The March 2006 Employee of the Month is Michael Cremers, Facilities Systems Specialist in the Department of Facilities and Management Planning.
In his position, Michael maintains a variety of computerized software programs that are specifically unique to Facilities. Additionally, he provides in-house training on systems not supported by ITS, develops and maintains facility computer and information systems, system design, and local area networking. He also designs, develops, and maintains the Department of Facilities webpage as well as runs several reports for the department.
Michael has played an important role in the implementation of the Diebold Door Access system which will cover the entire campus. In April of 2004, he received a kudos award from the Board of Regents for his outstanding service to UNK.
Michael takes initiative, follows through, and gets the job done correctly with little supervision. He is constantly searching for knowledge so he can better serve his co-workers and the university. His co-workers commented that "he is such a kind, patient person who is always available to help anyone, even if the duties are not his own. He is always there for us."
Michael is a true team player. Congratulations Michael on being named the March 2006 Employee of the Month.
Thanks to these fine sponsors of the Employee of the Month: Campus Cuts, Chartwells, UNK Athletics, Antelope Bookstore, and the UNK Theater Department.
