The UNK Staff Senate Employee Recognition Committee announces Anne Zeller as the UNK Employee of the Month for March 2002.
Anne L. Zeller, an integral member of the Department of Family and Consumer Science, joined the University of Nebraska at Kearney in July 2000. That department's faculty unanimously nominated Anne to receive the Employee of the Month Award.
Ms. Zeller's many positive qualities included her upbeat, can-do attitude, her conscientious devotion to her work and the university, and her winning sense of humor. Daily, Anne uses her broad skills to help students in general and to provide outstanding guidance for work-study students. These professional and personal traits have allowed her to make a positive contribution to the informal and friendly atmosphere that characterizes this department.
Anne anticipates well in advance the need to accomplish various tasks that ensure that the department runs smoothly. Thus, the members of the department rely on her technical competence, while valuing highly the pride and creativity she takes in accomplishing her varied work assignments. Her presence in the Department of Family and Consumer Science fosters a warm, friendly atmosphere among faculty and students alike. Anne has truly made Otto Olsen a home for those students majoring in Family and Consumer Science.
