Colleen Stevens has worked as a custodian for the University since October of 1986 and currently works in the West Center Building. Her nominators say that Colleen performs her job exceptionally well and always anticipates needs of people in her building rather than reacting after-the-fact. Colleen can be counted on to be on the job and to be available when unexpected needs arise.

Colleen's best attribute is her friendly attitude toward her job and the people she works with. She works well with everyone and is always available to assist others when needed. She is a real team player.

The quality of Colleen's work is excellent. She takes pride in the area she is responsible for and makes sure everything shines and works smoothly. The nominators state that they never have to ask her to do things because she is so conscientious about completing tasks on her own in an exceptional manner.

Colleen contributes to high staff morale and sound judgment in the exercise of duties by simply being a very pleasant person with a smile for everyone. Evidently Colleen is an excellent cook, also, because her nominators mention that she brings samples for the building occupants and they do not last long. The building personnel consider Colleen Stevens as their friend, and that makes a strong statement in itself.

Because of Colleen Stevens' conscientious and pleasant attitude about her job and those around her, the University of Nebraska at Kearney is pleased to name her as the September Employee of the Month.
