The Department of the Month Award was initiated by the committee and Staff Senate as a way to recognize each month a department on campus that stands out in a positive way, be it for sponsoring an event, providing excellent service, exercising teamwork, showing unique initiative, or for other beneficial reasons.
The Student Records and Registration Department has primary responsibility for the creation, maintenance, and generation of student academic records. They are particularly busy at this time of the year with graduation and student registration. This department has recently developed WebEASI, an interactive web interface to the UNK student system, so that students can view class schedules and catalogs, check their grades, account balances, financial aid and register for classes.
For their innovations and for all they do in the regular course of their work, the UNK Staff Senate and its Employee Recognition Committee congratulate the Student Records and Registration department for a job well done and for upholding the university's commitment to excellence.
