The Department of the Month Award was initiated by the Employee Recognition Committee and Staff Senate as a way to recognize each month a department on campus that stands out in a positive way, be it for sponsoring an event, providing excellent service, exercising teamwork, showing unique initiative, or for other beneficial reasons.
University Communications, Publication Services, and University Marketing all routinely work closely together to ensure that UNK is represented in the best ways possible. Their dedication allows the public to see what UNK is all about, and to highlight its commitment to excellence.
In particular, the division's coordination of the recent spring commencement exercises and assistance in planning for Blue and Gold activities stand out as examples of the kind of team work involved in whatever the division does.
For this, the UNK Staff Senate and its Employee Recognition Committee congratulate the departments of the Division of University Relations for a job well done and for upholding the university's commitment to excellence.
