The Department of the Month Award was initiated by the Employee Recognition Committee and Staff Senate as a way to recognize each month a department on campus that stands out in a positive way, be it for sponsoring an event, providing excellent service, exercising teamwork, showing unique initiative, or for other beneficial reasons.
Many members of the Finance Office staff have been involved for over a year on the SAP Financial System implementation project. For some, this meant spending several days out of a week in Lincoln. For others, it meant many trips to Lincoln for meetings and training sessions. For still others, it has meant a substantial amount of training time since the implementation took place on July 1, 1999. The SAP implementation duties have been an addition to the work that the Finance staff already provides to the University campus. Staff Senate would like to recognize all members of the Finance Office for their contributions to the SAP project, for their willingness to take on additional duties in the implementation of this entire process and for some, for taking on additional duties while others worked on the project. Thanks to you all for your teamwork - for UNK and for the University.
