NASAC Minutes - June, 1996
Present: Bill Davis, Carleen Jurgensen, Anita Kucera, John Lakey, Kathy Livingston, Jean Mattson and Glennis Nagel.
Absent: Cel Davis, Alta Fread, Judy Spellman, Doug Wermedal and Judy Willett.
The Non-Academic Staff Advisory Council met at 10:00 a.m. June 14 in the Zikmund Conference Room of the Health and Sports Center.
Review of Bylaws:
The focus of the meeting was the review of the bylaws.
Jean Mattson provided information related to professional conduct issues she found in the Student Handbook. Those present felt that the information there needed clearer definition and as did the steps involved in processing professional conduct issues.
When completed and approved, the bylaws and NASAC minutes will be on file in the Calvin T. Ryan Library.
Acknowledgment/Introductions:
John Lakey visited with the group about the importance of including staff in introductions when candidates for positions in a division or department are on campus for interviews.
University Wide Benefits Representatives:
John Lakey asked for names of individuals interested in serving as UNK representatives on a university-wide benefits committee. The committee serves in an advisory capacity to John Russell in Central Administration.
NEXT MEETING: The next meeting time and place will be announced. A meeting is being arranged with the Chancellor to review the progress of the group.
