I.   Call to order - President Newton

II.   Adoption of Agenda - Kauders/Benitz

III.   Minutes of November 15, 2005 meeting approved - Kauders/Rinaker

IV.   Financial Report – Kauders reported on balance of accounts. There are two additions to both the State and Auxiliary accounts that have no explanation of what was purchased.  Please be sure and let Audrey know the item that was purchased.  Kauders noted two more flags had been sold bringing the total to over $900.00 in sales!

V.   Correspondence - Notes of thanks from recipients of the TIAA-CREF SAFE Awards.  A thank you from Cheryl Bressington and family as well as a thank you from Student Government for Staff Senate's participation in Loper Kickoff.

H.  Mentoring – Benitz updated the Senate on the upcoming January 4 Staff Appreciation event. A number of individuals will be recognized including, KUDOS, TIAA-CREF SAFE, EOM, DOM recipients.
I.  Information Technology Advisory Committee – No Report
J.  Strategic Planning Committee – Schroeder reported The Committee has met and compiled a draft of the Goals and Objectives and those goals and objectives are currently being refined.

VIII.   New Business

A.   Administrative Search Committee and Parking Committee - Newton reported two staff members were appointed to serve on search committees. Nancy Kneen will serve on the Dean of Education search, John Falconer on the Dean of Graduate Studies. A Parking Committee member needed to be selected so Newton announced that Pam Proskocil from History will be replacing Laura Wardyn.
B.   Resignation   - This is Aaron Asay's last Senate meeting as he has taken a position outside the Campus. Dixie, serving as the election committee chair, will determine the next alternate Service representative and meet with Lakey to finalize.

IX.   Announcements

A.  Next Meeting – January 17, 2006, 10:30 a.m., Nebraskan Student Union 310.  Meetings are open to all UNK employees.
