 Welcome Back UNK Psych Students

Welcome back UNK Psychology students to the fall 2018 semester, and welcome to the UNK Psychology blog! We hope everyone is ready for a fun semester. The Psychology Club is getting ready for an exciting semester, and we hope to see you at the following upcoming events:

Welcome Back picnic

This is open to all UNK students, those interested in joining Psychology Club, and those who just want to get to know fellow psychology students and the professors in the department. This picnic will be held Wednesday the 29th of August at 5:15 PM on the west side of Harmon Park near the playground. Please join us for food, drinks, games, and a great opportunity to meet fellow Psychology majors and minors! All psychology students encouraged to attend.

Multicultural Student Leaders Day Fair

This conference is to recruit high school and transfer students interested in attending UNK. Come learn more about how a career in Psychology may benefit you by visiting our table in the UNK Student Union Ponderosa Room on Wednesday September 12th from 8:30-9:30 AM.

Upcoming Psychology Club meetings

We will be hosting regular Psychology Club meetings every second Wednesday of the month. The first meeting is on September 12th in the Wolfe Lab on the third floor of Copeland Hall (COPH 330) at 5:15 PM. At the first meeting we will be having representatives from the Counseling and School Psychology graduate program at UNK to talk about Advocates for Mental Health. At the second meeting on October 10th we will be hosting a workshop on preparing undergraduate students for graduate school. This will be an amazing opportunity to create or update your resume and give you a chance to talk to professors about what you can be doing to start that next step in your academic career.

We hope to see you at all of these upcoming events!
