Dr. Keith Geluso and his students B.J. O’Connor A.J. Forrester recently had their research published.

The citation is:  2016 O’Connor, B.J., A.J. Forrester, and K. Geluso. Tropidoclonion lineatum (Lined Snake): Fire Mortality. Herpetological Review vol 47.

The name for the CNSS Luncheon Series is: Something Interesting with Lunch.  

Congratulations to John Bauer for his winning submission.  Something Interesting with Lunch will occur on Tuesday, October 4, noon, Cedar Room (Nebraskan).  The session will be led by Peg Abels, Director of Health Science. The session is entitled, “What does your local public health department do for you?” The session will include an overview of the many important aspects of Health Sciences at UNK as well as a presentation by Two Rivers Public Health.

Tuesday, October 4th marks the anniversary of the death of Dr. Jim Gilbert, a beloved professor of Criminal Justice. 

Jim was a wonderful colleague to so very many of us.  Jim really enjoyed eating lunch at the cafeteria.   In honor of Jim, please join me for lunch at the cafeteria at 11am.  We can share a few stories.  We can then attend Something Interesting with Lunch at noon.

UNK Chapter of Sigma Xi is pleased to host Dr. Ron Scott for the Science Café series.  

Dr. Scott, a retired family physician, will be giving a talk about Alzheimer’s disease. The event will be held at Cunningham’s Journal starting at 5:30 PM, today, Monday- October 3.

Many thanks to all of you who shaped and participated in the World Affairs Conference. The conference was excellent!

The CNSS Semester meeting will be held on Monday, October 31--Copeland 142, 3-4pm; reception to follow the meeting.
