Faculty and Staff
The department has a dedicated, veteran group of faculty who are excellent teachers that are approachable, knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields. They place an emphasis on the individual student which is consistent with institutional objectives. Departmental faculty have also taken a strong leadership role within CBT, serving in administrative and leadership positions at the University, College and Departmental levels (seven held leadership/administrative positions in 2003-2004). The faculty within the department has been relatively stable, with new faculty typically being hired as the result of retirements. Faculty research output has steadily increased since the institution joined the university system, developing a good stream of research activity. Currently, nine of the eleven are on research release time (9 hrs. teaching per semester) and eight of eleven are listed as Academically Qualified in the AACSB Self Evaluation Report.
