Research Development

The Office of Research Development offers personal consultations to aid you in your research and creative activities. We aim to foster a collaborative environment that gives faculty the resources and space needed to continue their cutting edge research and creative activity.

One pathway toward your goals is funding and UNK is dedicated to providing resources to make you successful in your career. The Research Services Council (RSC) is an internal program that funds faculty research and creative activity. The RSC offers seed money especially for projects potentially leading to external funding, projects that demonstrate the potential for publication or other appropriate forms of dissemination, and projects that involve students. Additional unique, opportunities include the Nebraska Collaborative Initiative, the Nebraska Research Initiative for Infrastructure, Nebraska EPSCoR, and the Research Core Facilities New User Program. UNK subscribes to the Grant Forward database to help you find external funding opportunities that suit your work.

Beyond funding, we are happy to provide consultations in regard to your scholarly trajectory and help to navigate the university system. We also sponsor programming and training throughout the year, which can be found on the events calendar on the right hand side of the page.

Be sure to also check our New Frontiers, our annual publication that highlights the groundbreaking work of new faculty.
