Study Abroad Programs

Two week language course in the Loire Region

Visit of Paris (five full days)

The Department of Modern Languages is offering a three-week summer learning experience to France. Participants will study French at the Institut de Touraine in Tours for two weeks, and spend five full days in Paris for guided visits. Students will have to purchase their own round-trip airline ticket to Paris, but will be accompanied in France by a UNK department coordinator for the duration of the trip.

A Coruña, Galicia, Spain

(June 6-28, 2015)
  • Three week intensive language study in A Coruña
  • Excursions to nearby places of interest

The Department of Modern Languages is offering a three-week summer program in Spain. Participants will study Spanish at the University of A Coruña and enjoy guided visits to sites of interest in the city and surrounding areas. A full day visit to neighboring Santiago de Compostela is included, as are several workshops on local culture (cuisine, dance, art, etc).

A Coruña (Also known as La Coruña and Corunna), a busy and beautiful city located on the northern coast of Spain, offers a broad array of attractions. It has historical sites, such as the Tower of Hercules, as well as modern attractions and shops, topped off by peaceful sea-side walkways near pristine beaches and a rich culinary tradition.

International Education Study Abroad Programs

Students at the University of Nebraska at Kearney can participate in an international experience in almost any country. Programs range in length from several weeks to a full year. Regardless of the field you choose to study, a program is available for you, and class credit will transfer to the UNK curriculum if you plan carefully with your academic advisor prior to departure.
