Welcome to Calvin T. Ryan Library at the University of Nebraska at Kearney! We support the UNK mission by striving to meet the individual information needs of UNK students, faculty and staff.
The Library provides access to a variety of collections including books, federal and state government documents, various non-print resources, and archival materials, as well as extensive holding of electronic databases and reference sources. In addition to the print periodicals available, 161 databases provide access to more than 61,000 unique, full-text e-journals and close to 10,000 e-books.
In collaboration with the Academic Success offices in the Division of Student Affairs, a Learning Commons has been developed on the library's second floor. The Writing Center and Academic Tutors partner with the Library to provide seamless support for student academic needs.
The librarians, staff, and student assistants are here to help you find the resources and services you need. Ask for assistance at the Reference Desk, identified with a large "Ask Here" sign on first floor. 24/7 assistance is available via Ask Us 24/7.
