  • Accessible via Library's online system under the "Articles and Research Information - General Indexes to All Subjects" menu
  • Provides indexing for 170 current periodicals issued by federal government agencies
  • Many of these periodicals are not indexed elsewhere
  • Links provided to most of the articles
  • Select "Government Periodicals on the Web" for full list of online titles

  • For older years, use the  Index to U.S. Government Periodicals (bound volumes on government documents index tables), 1970 - 1987.   
  • Use the "Sudoc" number to locate the periodical in the government documents collection.  Periodicals may be checked out for one week.

   Electronic government documents 

  • Many federal government publications are also available via the Internet.
  • Selected titles are linked in the online catalog.  All new tangible (paper, CD/DVD, microfiche) government documents received since 2005 are cataloged with links provided if available.
