Application Information

All applicants must submit a formal application for admissions electronically and pay the application fee.

All applicants must hold a bachelor's degree to be eligible to pursue a Master's Degree or any other Graduate Admission status.  Minimum undergraduate GPA requirements vary depending upon the program.

Following submission of your application, you can login to your MyBlue account to check on the status of your admission and view what the Graduate Admissions Office is still missing.

 

Degree Seeking Students

(seeking a Master's or Specialist Degree)


Application Deadlines*

Fall Admission:  June 15

Spring Admission:  October 15

Summer Admission : March 15.

Fall Only Admission 

Communication Disorders:  January 15

Missed the deadline to be admitted as a degree seeking student for an upcoming term?  You can still take a class!  Apply as a non-degree student for one term while your degree application is pending.

Materials:

Request an official transcript of ALL undergraduate and graduate coursework directly from any University or College previously attended EXCEPT in the case of UNK coursework. Include UNK on your educational history but do not request a transcript.


Once we receive all of the required materials and the application is complete, the Office of Graduate Studies and Research will conduct an initial evaluation. Applications meeting the requirements for admission to the graduate program will be forwarded to the appropriate department for evaluation. Following receipt of the departmental recommendation, official notification to the applicant will be made by the Office of Graduate Studies and Research of the action taken and admission status.

Non-Degree Students

(including Initial Certification, Endorsements, & PreMBA)


Application Deadline:

All other Graduate Admissions programs have until the week before classes start per semester to complete an application.
