The Geography 7-12 Teaching Subject Endorsement degree program equips students to be well-rounded geography teachers, instilling a passion for studying the natural world, examining how and why the environment varies from place to place, and seeing connections with people, cultures, and the world around them.

Students pursuing geography teaching study naturally occurring hazards of climate and weather, landforms, and soil developing processes alongside the foundational teaching courses from UNK’s College of Education

Faculty members mentor and develop future teachers, preparing them to enter public and private school systems. Education degrees are a cornerstone of UNK, and we are proud to have a longstanding reputation for producing Nebraska’s top teachers.
