The eCampus Faculty Online Training Seminar

The Faculty Online Training (FOT) Seminar will take both the novice and experienced online teacher (full-time or adjunct) through the steps of course development, online teaching, and online assessment. This seminar consists of three parts:

The first part is the FOT Pre-Course, which covers the basics of using UNK's Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).

The second part is the FOT itself and consists of four (4) separate modules – 8 weeks total. Each module will have readings, a discussion board, and an assignment.

The final part of the training is the FOT Copyright Course, where we will discuss issues of copyright in online education, and will also spend time learning about UNK library services for online students and faculty.

How the Seminar Works: You will be able to access the seminar materials on 02/04. Participants will have readings, videos, discussions, activities and other coursework that will be done entirely online. You will get to think about online education, discuss your ideas with peers and experienced online faculty, learn how to develop and run your own course, and additionally give you the experience of being an online student.
