The M.S.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling prepares you to meet national standards to enter a professional counseling career, including positions in community mental health agencies, treatment centers, correctional facilities, and medical settings. On-site counselor training, client sessions, and field-based experiences in addition to online/blended coursework will equip you to provide clinical mental health related services to help individuals, families, and communities.

This program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Programs (CACREP) and its international affiliate, the International Registry of Counselor Education Programs (IRCEP). These accreditations ensure that the program will qualify and prepare you for the National Counselor Exam (NCE), National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Exam (CMHCE), Mental Health Practitioner License (LMHP), Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP), or other credentials needed for your counseling career. Elective courses are available to gain licensure as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
