It is important to register early as classes fill up quickly. All registration is done via the Web by logging on to WebEASI at http://webeasi.unk.edu.
Students must be admitted to UNK before they can access WebEASI. Students may register for any UNK class that has been officially added to the schedule and has a call number. A late fee of $15 may be assessed for any student who registers after the first week. Students registering through WebEASI will be billed for payment by mail.
Step 1: Use any Web Browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer works best). Mozilla Firefox and Safari do not work well, especially on a Mac.
Step 2: To access WebEASI go to http://webeasi.unk.edu or go to the UNK home-page at www.unk.edu and choose the WebEASI link.
Step 3: Once on the WebEASI page, choose the following to access registration:
1) Registration, Grades, Student Records and Account Summary
*This will be followed by a request for your NU-ID (Nebraska University Identification Number). You will receive your NU-ID as follows:
New undergraduate students will receive a letter from the Undergraduate Admissions Office upon successful acceptance of being admitted to UNK. This letter will indicate the student’s NU-ID number.
Graduate students new to UNK will receive their NU-ID number when they fill out the online graduate application. The NU-ID number should appear at the beginning of the application process after you enter your social security number.
You will also be asked for your PIN (Personal Identification Number). If you do not already have an established PIN number, you will create your own PIN number by entering your six-digit birth date (mmddyy). After successful access into WebEASI, please recreate a PIN number (alpha &/or numeric) different than your birth date. Once you are logged into WebEASI, choose "Registration" and complete your enrollment.
2) Choose Drop/Add Classes
3) Choose the appropriate semester (term)
4) You will need the call numbers of the classes you want to enroll in, simply type them in the boxes at the bottom of the screen--when done click submit. If you need to search for classes, go to the UNK Listing of Classes and choose the subjects and courses you are interested in. Once registered you may view and print your class schedule at anytime by choosing Student Detail Class Schedule found under the registration link.
Other options available on WebEASI include grades, account balance, financial aid, address information, degree audit, and transcripts.
All undergraduate students are required to contact their academic advisors every semester prior to early registration. WebEASI will NOT allow students to register for classes until they visit with their undergraduate advisor. The advisor will release an advising flag on the Student Information System once the advising session is complete. All students, regardless of classification, should contact an academic advisor to discuss course prerequisites, course offerings and their specific degree requirements prior to registration. If you do not contact your advisor, you will not be able to register during Early Registration.
A student who has not decided on a specific academic major or endorsement should contact the Academic Advising Center 308-865-8932 for assistance on advising or email at daakem@unk.edu.
The University of Nebraska at Kearney no longer mails final grade reports. Students may access final grades online by accessing http://webeasi.unk.edu and clicking on “ Registration, Grades, Student Records, and Account Summary. ”
If you must have a printed copy of your grades that has your name and NU-ID number included, you may request an official transcript by using the online request form on WebEASI. There is no additional charge for transcripts. Requests for grade reports must be submitted by the last day of the semester.
