VoiceThread is a web-based application that allows users to place collections of media (images, videos, documents, and presentations) at the center of an asynchronous conversation. A VoiceThread allows people to have conversations and to make comments in 5 ways - using voice (with a microphone or telephone), text, audio file, or video (via a webcam).
Users can doodle while commenting, use multiple identities, and pick which comments are shown through moderation. VoiceThread can even be embedded to show and receive comments on other websites and exported to MP3 players or DVDs to play as archival movies.
VoiceThread runs inside your web browser, so there is no software to download, install, or update. Share a VoiceThread with students and colleagues for them to record comments as well.
