Professional Development Opportunities

The Center for Teaching Excellence is pleased to be involved with presenting Professional Development Opportunities to UNK Faculty.

  • Tuesday, March 11: Advisor Training
    Academic and Career Services – along with the Center for Teaching Excellence – will be co-sponsoring an advisor training event in the main floor computer lab of the Library from 10:00 – 11:30.  If you would like to refresh your already not inconsiderable advising skills, learn new ones, find out the latest tips and tricks to MyBlue and Degree Works, hear more about the very important world of Developmental Advising, please plan to attend. 
  • Wednesday, April 9: Movement in the ClassroomThis event, by faculty presenters Frank Lynott and Greg Brown, will be held in COE C214 on Wednesday, April 9 from 3:30-5pm.  They will present scientific and empirical evidence supporting the benefits of using movement in the classroom to improve student learning.
  • Monday, April 14: Teaching and Learning ConferenceThe conference will run from 1-5pm and will include presentations from those colleagues doing something innovative in the department or classroom. If interested in presenting, email Beth Hinga at
