We are excited that you are interested in a career in Clinical Mental Health. The Clinical Mental Health degree program provides the knowledge and skills needed for counselors to work in a variety of settings that offer mental health services, such as, inpatient and outpatient care, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental illnesses, emergency/crisis intervention, and consultation. 

The CACREP-accredited Clinical Mental Health degree program prepares graduates for the following professional certification and licensure:

Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC)

NE Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP)

NE Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP)

Additional coursework is available to qualify for: 

NE Licensed Drug & Alcohol Counselor (LDAC)

A minimum of 60 hours of graduate coursework is required for the Clinical Mental Health program. We are looking forward to learning more about you and your interest in clinical mental health.
