The Speech Communication area of the Department of Communication offers three majors, Organizational Communication, Speech Communication and Speech Communication 7-12 Teaching Endorsement.
The speech communication programs are taught by Dr. George Lawson, Dr. Aaron Dimock, Dr. Akbar Javidi, L. "Jake" Jacobson, and Dr. Amber Messersmith. The wide variety of professors in this area of the department offer unique perspecitves in all of the speech courses.
Incoming freshmen should consider the Organizational Communication major, a program that is often overlooked by students until they have already begun their classes at UNK.
