Dr. Akbar Javidi 

Background   
I graduated from the College of Translation, Oklahoma City University and the University of Oklahoma. Intercultural Communication is my area of expertise. The world is becoming more and more globally interconnected, so it becomes important for people to be able to communicate with people of different cultures properly and effectively for the purpose of peaceful coexistence.

Philosophy 		    
"Students should pursue a degree in Communication because (1) Communication has come a long way and covers a broad area, (2) a bachelor's degree in Communication prepares them for varied professional careers which require the ability to communicate effectively, (3) communication skills are repeatedly cited  as the primary determinant for employment and promotion throughout the world  of business and the professions, and (4) a student's success can only be found through learning and implementing proper, effective communication skills."
