About me: 

 

Christine is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska at Kearney in the Department of Counseling and School Psychology.  Prior to coming to UNK, Christine practiced mental health and drug and alcohol counseling for over 15 years as a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor.  Christine also has experience in behavioral health care administration working as an Assistant Director of Counseling at the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Counseling Care Center and as program director at a large community mental health organization. Christine’s philosophy of treatment and teaching style is based on the individual’s strengths, resiliency and a positive therapeutic and teaching relationship.  Christine has an amazing husband of 25 years, 3 children and one dog who keep her focused on being grateful for the blessings in life and maintaining a sense of humor!
