“It is not easy, so you have to have the willpower to keep going. You can’t give up even when it becomes a struggle.” In the summer of 2012, she graduated. She says UNK prepared her for a career in accounting. “Employers want experienced accountants, and all I had was my degree, so I was so excited to finally show my accounting skills when I was hired.” Her advice to students is, “Get involved with an internship during college and gain basic experience to get hired over other applicants.”
