Vieques is an island in the Caribbean, located about 7 miles east of Puerto Rico and about 1,000 miles southwest of Orlando, Florida. It is a part of the Virgin Islands which make up the terrestrial east barrier of the Caribbean. As a part of Puerto Rico, it is also a U.S. possession. Vieques has a tropical climate, and a unique culture.
