Student’s Perception of the Current General Studies Program

The General Studies Council is seeking feedback from the students regarding the current General Studies Program. The information obtained from the survey will be used by the Council as part of its efforts to evaluate the program. The results will be shared with the Faculty Senate, the GS Round table participants, and disseminated to the faculty. All responses will be anonymous. The following questionnaire was developed by the American Association of Colleges and Universities. Please respond to the following questions.

  1. Are you 18 years of age or older?
  2. Have you taken any General Studies courses at UNK?
  3. Have you taken any General Studies courses at other institutions?
  4. How many GS courses have you taken?
  5. In what department is your major (if decided)?
  6. If taking a GS course (s) helped you to select a major, when did this occur?
  7. What is your current classification status?

Choose a number of points from 1 to 5, where 1 indicates complete agreement with the first statement and 5 indicates complete agreement with the second statement in each pair. Indicate your varying degrees of agreement with each statement by selecting 2-4.

 

The GS Program is characterized by an absence of clarity about the purpose of the program.
