Counseling and School Psychology Graduate Program Assessment Report 2005: Review of the Assessment Plan

Review of the Assessment Plan– Faculty review and modification of the assessment plan occurs annually.

Interpretation and Recommendations:

            The Department continues to review, analyze, and refine the assessment plan.  With a new Department chair and two new faculty beginning this fall 2005, the assessment plan has been identified as a critically important issue to revisit/review during the 2005-06 academic year.  All faculty are involved and will be scrutinizing all components of the assessment plan to assure: 1. relevancy; 2. lack of redundancy; 3. program-specific efficacy; 4. across-program efficacy; 5. usefulness of data.  Specific goals include: 1. expansion of Application for Candidacy assessment; 2. refinement of existing assessment rubrics; 3. increased consistency of usage of rubrics across faculty and across time; 4. creating data base for all assessment data to facilitate on-going capabilities for decision making.
