Current Student Comment (taken from 2003 survey-this is selected from a wide range of topical responses to focus on H-Options and Senior Studies):

"The best part about the Honors Program was not necessarily the time spent in the classroom or in Honors classes (although the smaller class size and discussion-based classes in general studies were great), but it was the time spent outside of class. Through H-Options and Senior Studies the Honors Program encourages Honors students to foster relationships beyond the classroom with their professors. Not only do students learn more about their field of study in doing more 'in-depth' work, they also develop friendships and find mentors in their professors. By being given the push to do a more in-depth, out of class project, I have learned so much more than the 'textbook' version of my majors. I have learned about life and have found lifelong mentors and friends through this program. So don't ever get rid of the H-Options and Senior Studies. They teach you so much more than what are in the final, typed copy handed in to the Director. No doubt, behind it there was a relationship formed and a life lesson learned."
