Assessment
After completion of the Field Study, the candidates defended their research before their committee composed of the following: the supervisor of the field study, another EDAD faculty member, a College of Education (COE) faculty member who teaches Techniques of Research, and a faculty member outside of COE. Members of the department completed an assessment rubric of the oral defense.
All 16 students successfully completed their oral defenses of their field studies. Currently, the three areas addressed--explanation of findings, related statistical measures, and recommendations-are assessed with a narrative summary.
Recommendations
It is recommended that the three areas and an Overall Assessment be evaluated with a pass or fail.
