The Field Study is a written project designed to provide the candidates in educational administration with the opportunity to design and conduct research on a contemporary issue in education. The candidate became familiar with research design, statistical applications to test for significance, and literature. Members of the department completed an assessment rubric of the Field Study.
Thus far in 2003, 10 students have completed field studies. Assessment was based on design, statistical application, literature review, and interpretation of finding. All students successfully completed their field studies.
It is recommended that the assessment of the field study remain pass or fail.
