National Certification in School Psychology (NCSP): All school psychology students must take the NCSP examination and provide scores as a graduation requirement. These scores provide specific information related to the effectiveness of the program. The faculty evaluates the results to student outcomes.
2003/2004: N = 12, X = 667 (660 is required to pass this exam)
Interpretation and Recommendations:
Of the twelve students taking this exam nine passed (75%). The mean score for those passing is 717. The mean score for three not passing this exam is 613. Students are well prepared to complete this exam and earn national certification.
Additional focus is being placed on the competencies assessed by this exam. Four content area competency exams are being created and will become part of the curriculum assuring mastery prior to internship.
