Direct Measure
All business education field or basic business endorsed majors participate in student teaching experiences in public or private schools and are evaluated on their performances by their cooperating teachers and university supervisors using the standard Student Teaching Evaluation form developed by the College of Education.
Results of the Final Evaluation are shared with the Business Education Assessment Committee in the Department of Economics. The Business Education Assessment Committee will use these evaluations to assess the students= level of preparation for teaching careers.

Indirect Measures
The department will provide an assessment survey form to new graduates. The purpose of this survey is to elicit meaningful observations from the graduates of the business education program relative to how well the graduates feel they are prepared to meet the demands of their first year of teaching.
Assessment of the Assessment Process
The Department will engage in an annual assessment of assessment activities, and will periodically modify, add or delete assessment activities.
