Modern Languages Final Evaluation of Student Teachers

The University of Nebraska at Kearney Student Teacher Evaluation Form covers three general areas: I. Lesson Planning, II. Instructional Delivery and III. Teaching Dispositions. With the subcategories of each, the Cooperating Teacher is asked to evaluate 45 items on a four point scale. The levels include Beginning (1), Progressing (2), Proficient (3) and Advanced (4).  The maximum possible score is 180 (45 x 4). Like the College of Education, Modern Languages will accept the individual minimum satisfactory score of 117 (2.6) but will expect for the purposes of assessment an average annual score of 135 (3.0) for its graduating student teachers.
