Communication Graduate Perceptions

Scantron Code 0006

Introduction

Academic departments at UNK are required to regularly estimate the effectiveness of their instructional activities.  This survey is part of the Department of Communication’s overall assessment program.  Specifically, we want to know what your perceptions are regarding the quality of your educational experiences in your major courses.

If you believe you are unfamiliar with the Department of Communication, a brief history of its development may help you understand why you are being asked to complete this survey.  The Journalism and Broadcasting programs were merged in 1989 to become the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication.  A second merger occurred in 1998 when Speech was added and the name of the unit was changed to the Department of Communication.  It is important that data are collected from all mass communication and speech graduates regardless of the department or program name that existed at the time they graduated.

On the survey, you will not be asked to identify yourself as your responses will remain anonymous.  A report will be produced and posted on the university’s assessment webpage.  The various responses you and others provide will be reported in aggregate form.

Please take a few minutes to carefully read each item and then select the answer which most closely represents your opinion.
