Student Assessment Committee Meeting
Meeting of January 21, 2009
Present: Jessy Hansen, April Becker, Abigail Harris, Kristy Rickert
Absent: Russell Crawford
Hansen called the meeting to order at 10:00 am in Founders Hall 2113.
Old Business:
The committee discussed the data analysis from the Student Instructional Preferences survey. The committee discussed what information they would like to disseminate at upcoming meetings and conferences. The committee also discussed and decided on what other information they would like analyzed from the survey. They decided to have the GPA compared to male and female and to put the data in a graph.
Hansen shared with the committee that they are to present the data from the survey to the Faculty Senate on March 5th at 7:00 pm in the Ockigna building. Rickert, Harris, and Hansen volunteered to present at the meeting. Hansen also shared that the SAC sponsor, Dr. Jeanne Butler, would be attending the meeting with them also. The committee decided to use the next meeting time to put together the power point to be presented at the meeting.
New Business:
- Hansen shared that the SAC had been accepted to present at the Primarily Undergraduate Institutions Conference on March 6th here at UNK. Harris and Hansen volunteered to present at this conference. Hansen informed the committee that the presentation would be approximately 25 minutes in length. The presentation time is at approximately 11:30 am. The committee decided to use the next meeting time to prepare the power point to be presented at the conference. The next meeting is set for Wednesday, February 4 at 10:00 am in Founders Hall 2113.
