Student Assessment Committee Meeting
Meeting of October 11, 2007 Minutes

PRESENT:Students: Tim Davis, Russell Crawford, April Becker, Jessy Hansen, and Bethany Hyatt
Faculty: Sarah Von Schrader
ABSENT: Students: Heath Dooley

Bethany called the meeting to order at 2:30 P.M. in Room 2111 of Founders Hall.

1. OLD BUSINESS
   
   1. Bethany gave the committee a brief overview of the projects that the committee had completed in previous years.
      
   2. Members were given results from the Student Involvement Survey that was completed in the spring. Russell asked if some of the most significant results could be identified. Bethany said that she would highlight some of these in the next meeting.
      
      
2. NEW BUSINESS
   
   1. The committee discussed ways to disseminate the results of the Student Involvement Survey and the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). Tim volunteered to create posters that highlighted the results. The committee determined that we would hang the posters throughout campus. Tim also proposed that we have open forums for students interested in the results. Sarah recommended that we put an article in the Antelope as well.
      
   2. The committee also discussed ways to recruit new members. It was decided that recruitment posters and flyers would also be created. Jessy volunteered to contact the Antelope to place an advertisement.
