Overview
Student outcomes assessment of the Cultural Diversity Program at UNK is conducted at two levels. At the course level, student performance is assessed in courses designated as CD that all UNK students are required to take (6 hours). Assessment data from selected CD courses are submitted to the Office of Assessment each year.
At the CD program level, both direct (test items) and indirect measures (campus-wide survey) are used to determine program effectiveness, based on student performance, with results reported in the CD Program’s annual assessment report.
Direct Measure
At the course level, each year a selected number of CD courses submit assessment data in a report. The data outlines student performance in the course related to specific CD objectives.

Indirect Measure
A CD survey is administered campus-wide every 3 years to determine students’ knowledge, attitudes and perceptions related to groups underrepresented in the student population at UNK. The survey is administered to a sample of students at UNK, some of whom have completed their CD requirements and others who have not.
