As Faculty of First Year courses, we would like an evaluation of your experience with the Fall 2005FY program. Please respond briefly to the following topics (2-3 sentences).
- Describe your students’ development of Communication Competencies. In what areas did you see improvement? In what areas did you find difficulties?
- Did students’ understanding of technology on campus improve? (i.e., use of Blackboard, library’s ROSI)
- How did you use the library in your course?
- List ways that students improved their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- How did you integrate diversity issues into your course? What were the students’ responses?
- Did students come to some understanding of their responsibilities as a college student in an active learning situation?
- What percentage of your students engaged in extracurricular activities on campus?
- How did you integrate Student Services programs into your course? (e.g., health, counseling, tutoring, Writing Center, computer labs)
- How did the training sessions help prepare you for teaching or continuing to teach a First Year course?
