Suggestions for obtaining evidence:
- Ask a supervisor or colleague to observe your teaching specifically for communication skills with students and give you feedback on strengths and weaknesses.
- Annually survey parents about your communication with them as well as questions about program quality, appropriateness for their student, etc.
- Survey your students several times a year (perhaps once a quarter) to find out what they like about your instruction, the challenge level, how safe they feel being themselves in your class
- When you are complimented on being easy to work with in a meeting, conference, other, thank the person and ask if you could have in writing and say why.
