Marketing Assessment Mission

Mission

Students who complete the Marketing Emphasis in the College of Business and Technology at the University of Nebraska at Kearney will be effective marketing professionals who have solid marketing foundations, knowledge of marketing resources, the ability to analyze marketing problems and a keen awareness of the business environment in which they must function.

Objectives

  1. Marketing emphasis students will be able to conduct environmental scanning.
  2. Marketing emphasis students will be able to apply the ‘concepts and principles’ of marketing.
  3. Marketing emphasis students will be able to develop marketing strategies congruent with the current business environment.
  4. Marketing emphasis students will be able to integrate technology into marketing strategies.
  5. Marketing emphasis students will be able to appropriately use marketing vocabulary.
  6. Marketing emphasis students will be able to solve marketing problems logically & creatively.
  7. Marketing emphasis students will be able to develop implementation plans.
  8. Marketing emphasis students will be able to develop control mechanisms to monitor marketing strategies.
