Minutes of the Meeting of the Deans Council

- Kim Schipporeit RE College Edge and the ad which will be placed in the Kearney Hub: Kim discussed handouts titled “2003 Fall freshman that took college credit courses in high school” and “High School student enrolled at UNK 07F and 08S”. She also reported on the ad to go in the Kearney Hub this week regarding College Edge. Discussion was held on the handouts and the ad.
- SIS Updates: Finnie reported on the SIS Steering Committee progress and timeline.
- PoE Proposals & Report: Finnie stated he had received PoE proposals and information from several of the Deans and if anyone else is going to submit he would like to have them so he could get them to the Chancellor before the end of the month. Please be sure to show how your proposal will make an already very strong program stronger and demonstrate in the proposal how strong the program already is. Proposals to try to enhance weak programs or programs lacking particular strengths will not be successful.
- Announcements: Finnie reported on updates from the SIS Steering Committee.
There being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned. The next meeting of the Deans will be on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 9 a.m. in the Warner Conference Room.
