Minutes of the Meeting of the Deans Council
Monday, February 4, 2008 – 9 a.m.
Warner Conference Room
PRESENT: Finnie Murray, William Jurma, Kenya Taylor, Janet Wilke, Ed Scantling, Frank Harrold, Peter Longo, Bruce Forster participated via conference call
- Discuss Budget for this/next Biennium: Discussion was held on putting together resources and information to make the best decisions when looking to make budget cuts.Please have your ideas and information to Finnie by Monday, February 18, 2008, so he can present them to the Chancellor’s Cabinet.
- Announcements: Finnie stated Central is requesting lists of centers, a date of the first review and then how frequently after that they are reviewed. Please get this information to him as soon as you can.
Finnie also reported on the Programs of Excellence exercise. He needs each college’s proposals to him by March 12, 2008 so he can get them to Central by March 31, 2008.
There being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned. The next meeting of the Deans will be on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 9 a.m. in the Warner Conference Room.
